It was a pleasure to collaborate with The Human Rights during my journey as a freelance animator. Working closely with the band’s drummer, I focused on personalizing the video to ensure each member felt included and authentically represented.

Based in Toronto, The Human Rights blends Roots Reggae with jazz, funk, and R&B. This nine-member band, all balancing day jobs alongside their musical careers, showcases their passion and determination in their official music video for “Workin” The video follows each member as they transition from their daily routines to their shared stage at Roy Thomson Hall, capturing their relentless hustle and deep love for music.

The Keynote animation helped distinguish my work from other freelancers. By combining vector art, lifelike colors, and rotoscoping techniques, I created an aesthetic that sits at the intersection of 2D and 3D, offering a unique visual experience.

Tools Used: Keynote, Quicktime, Adobe Premiere Pro
My Role: Script-writer, Concept Artist, Storyboard Artist, Animator, Video Editor

Written, produced and recorded by: The Human Rights and Ras Yunchie
